These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Photoyam (“the Service”), a free, browser-based image and PDF editor available at photoyam.com. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What Photoyam is

Photoyam is a free set of image and PDF tools that run entirely in your web browser. There is no account, no sign-up and no install. Crucially, the Service has no backend that receives your files: every operation — editing, converting, resizing, cropping, compressing, exporting — is performed locally on your own device. The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.

2. Your files and your content

You are solely responsible for the files you open and process with the Service, and you confirm that you have the necessary rights to use them. Because your files never leave your device, we never receive, store or have access to them. You retain full ownership of your files and of anything you create with the Service; we claim no ownership over your content.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to create, edit or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, or that violates the rights of others (including copyright).
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, damage or gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse-engineer, tamper with or misuse the Service in a way intended to harm other users or the operator.
  • Use automated means to abuse the site or the advertising it displays.

4. Intellectual property

The Photoyam name, website, design and underlying source code are the property of the operator and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any right to the Photoyam brand or code beyond using the Service as intended. Your own files and the outputs you generate remain entirely yours.

5. Third-party services and advertising

The Service displays ads through Google AdSense and uses analytics providers to measure usage. Your use of the Service is therefore also subject to those providers’ terms and policies. See our Privacy Policy for details on cookies, analytics and advertising, and how to control them.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any conversion or edit will be perfectly accurate for your purpose. Always keep your own backups of important files before editing them.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

8. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
